All of the wine, food, beer, spirits and music are included in the price of admission. Friday evening’s event tickets are available for $60 in advance, $65 after November 30 and Saturday’s tickets are $55 in advance or $65 day of the event. Norwood’s Restaurant and Wine Shop has become known as the place to be the first weekend in December. This year, on December 2nd and 3rd Norwood’s will be host to the 16th Annual Holiday Food & Wine Festival. Central Floridians make their way to New Smyrna for this gala event each year to take part in this area’s largest, most elegant, yet unpretentious wine festival in the South.
New this year, the weekend’s festivities start out on Gold Medal Awards Tasting Evening, 7-9:30 pm Friday, December 2nd. Elegant foods combined with 90 of the “Best of the Best” Award winning wines, Martini bar, premium Bourbons, Absente, Beer promise to create the perfect combination for an unforgettable evening.
Saturday’s main event, the Holiday Food & Wine Festival, from 1–5 pm. has something wonderful for everyone! Wine lovers can sample over 400 wines from around the world and receive great discounts on wine purchases through the month of December. We will again have a Bubbles and Brew area featuring champagne and craft beers, Martini, Bourbon, and Absente tasting. Area charities will be served as well, as Norwood’s continues in their tradition of giving back to the community. Hospice volunteers of New Smyrna Beach Red and Black Sports club and Gifts of Love Food Bank will all benefit from money raised through the silent auction and raffle.
Food connoisseurs will take great delight in the delectable edibles spread throughout the grounds Saturday. Some of Norwood’s favorites, coupled with some new and exciting dishes will be served throughout the entire event.
Tickets will be available at Norwood’s beginning in November, 2011.
