Burgess Cellars Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon
1980-Slight carmel color with mint, Black cherry nose, seemed slightly oxidized.

1983-Spicy cedar aroma with Black cherries, a little flat.

1984-Sweet cherry, tobacco with a slight rose petal undertones, long finish, excellent balance. Best of the tasting

1985-Tobacco, good tannin to fruit balance. raspberry and vanilla. Second choice of the tasting.

1986-Mint and cassis with a short but rich finish.

1987-Overwhelming nose, residual finish, somewhat flat.

1990-Cassis, Cocoa, with slight mint, quite drinkable..

1980-Tea, Leather with some sherry aromas, very soft and supple with little or no tannin. Still has a long soft finish. ***

1983-Nice cassis and tobacco aromas. Fruit still fresh on the palate with soft tannin. Finishes a little light. ***

1984-Tobacco, leather and tea aromas. Unbelieveable concentrated fruit, very rich with good gripping tannins.with a spectacular long,lingering finish.*****

1985-Tobacco, chocolate with slight cassis aromas. Suprisingly soft fruit with little tannin. Finishes a bit short. ***

1986-toasty oak and cherry fruit aroma. Fruit is very soft but the tannin is still hard. Finishes a little short.**

1987-Cigar box and cassis aromas. Very soft and supple wich is a suprise.The finish is a little short. A suprisingly simple wine.**

1990-Big cassis fruit with tobacco and chocolate aromas. In the mouth the fruit is very rich with powerful tannin. Finish is very long and complex. ****
