  • Miranda M Series Cabernet Sauvignon $10.99
The king of the red grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon, is rich and soft with flavors of cinnamon spice and mint.

  • Miranda M Series Shiraz $10.99
The quintessential Aussie shiraz, showcasing a balance of plum, berry fruit, black pepper and vanillin oak.

Friday 7 February 2003
Dave Stutts of Grantham Distributing shared and discussed five wines.

  • Indigo Hills North Coast Chardonnay $10.50
Round, medium to full bodied with honeysuckle and lemon flavors and aromas. Creamy with a fleshy texture and a soft juicy finish. Pairs perfectly with lobster, fish or poultry, as well as lighter pork and veal dishes, especially those with lemon or light cream sauces.

  • Indigo Hills Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon $11.25
Medium-bodied and well-balanced, with spicy currant, new shoe leather and earthy notes. This is the essential food wine. Classic varietal aromas and flavors of cherry and plum reveal themselves.

  • Maso Canali Pinot Grigio $17.99
This wine has a brilliant golden color with a very pleasant nose marked by apricot, tropical lemon and pineapple flavors, complimented by floral and spicy notes. This elegantly balanced wine exhibits ripe fruit flavors on the palate and lasting enlivening finish.
  • Indigo Hills San Francisco Bay Merlot $11.25
This Merlot has the characteristics of bursting aromas of rich blackberry and sweet vanilla. This wine is also accentuated with flavorful hints of black plum and tea. The mouthfeel is soft, full and rich with a long finish. Pair with roasted portabella and thyme, pesto pasta, or chicken cooked with tarragon and mustard.

  • Indigo Hills North Coast Pinot Noir $11.25
This wine displays bright fruit-forward cranberry, fresh strawberry and red raspberry characters on the nose and palate. This pinot noir has a silky texture and a lingering finish that makes this elegant wine ideal with cuisine or al fresco Mediterranean dining. Pair this wine with grilled salmon, tuna, or halibut with fresh dill. The wine will also combine equally well with roasted chicken or roast pork with seasonings such as tarragon and wild mushrooms.

Friday 17 January 2003
Brad Madlem of National Distribution Company showcased the wines of Rosemount Estates.

  • Rosemount Grenache/Shiraz $8.25
This vibrant, medium-ruby appearance has an appealing aroma, mixing exotic perfume and spices with light summer fruits and a subtle hint of savoury American oak. The palate is rich and well textured with warm cloves and spice characters. This generous, warm finish typifies the Grenache variety.

  • Rosemount Hill of Gold Chardonnay $17.50
The essence of cool climate Chardonnay, displaying a fine, delicate palate with excellent purity of flavor and crisp acidity. Delicate peach and fig flavors combine seamlessly with the subtle creamy characters of barrel fermentation. Perfectly integrated French oak adds cashew like notes and combines with the natural acidity to provide softness and length to the finish.
  • Rosemount Hill of Gold Shiraz $18.75
A tightly meshed, restrained palate displays a core of red berry fruit, cinnamon and spice overlaid by notes of earth and brambly wild fruit. Careful oak treatment and fine tannins provide structure and mouthfeel, supporting rather than dominating the fruit and resulting in a long, velvety finish.

  • Rosemount Show Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $23.25
The palate is balanced and clearly defined with blackberry and cassis flavors swiftly wrapped in fine savory grape tannins and supported by well-integrated oak. The clean, focused fruit, pronounced but rounded tannins and great length indicate a wine with an excellent cellaring future.
